Help our American Heroes and their families. With your donation we will:

  • Immediately assist local Veterans in need and support the Northwest Indiana chapters of the American Legion, The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), Disabled American Veterans (DAV), and the Indiana Patriot Guard
  • Mentor struggling Veterans in the Veteran Treatment Court of Porter County, Indiana
  • Support families and survivors of the Sapper 6—the six members of the Valparaiso-based Indiana National Guard’s 713th Combat Engineers killed in action while deployed to Afghanistan in 2012
  • Provide scholarships for the children of our post-911 military casualties through the Folds of Honor Foundation

The South Shore Friends of Veterans Fund was set up with the Porter County Community Foundation. This fund supports the aspects of our mission. Grants are provided from this fund that directly benefit local Veteran needs.
